About me
Hello! I am a biostatistician at Eli Lilly doing research on diabetes.
I hold a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan, where worked with Dr. Zöllner in statistical genetics and with Dr. Boonstra in data integration methods. I am a former Fulbright-García Robles fellow (September 2017 until August 2020), which helped me support myself during the first three years of my Ph.D.
I am also a co-founder of “Mexicanos en Estadística y Salud,” a group of Mexican researchers who do science communication.
Before, I completed an MS in the Department of Statistics at the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT), advised by Professor Miguel Nakamura. I received a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology (ITAM), where I did my thesis with Professor Luis Enrique Nieto Barajas.
I moved from Mexico City to Ann Arbor in 2017 and have lived there with our three kids since then. I draw to capture my kids at their best in my free time. So come check it out here.
I am always happy to connect with people from all stages of their careers about collaborations, networking, or mentoring. So please shoot me an email anytime!
